Det 70s destroyed my default video render device!

First the Det66.93 made the video interlaced at full screen, then I upgraded to the Det70s, now when I use the default video renderer, all I get is a blank screen with audio. If I use windows media classic player and switch the video renderer to VMR9, everything works great. But then the videos in games and powerdvd/videolan won't work.
I've tried uninstalling then going to safe mode and running driver cleaner, then installing the 67.22 WHQL drivers. No worky 🙁
Any suggestions?
And please don't suggest for me to reformat or reinstall windows, not gonna happen.
