Det 40.72 keeps making my computer refresh.

I just installed the 40.72 whql dets after a clean install of winxp, so there are no incompatibilities with old drivers, along with riva tuner 2.0 and riva tuner's refresh rate fix. It keeps refreshing the screen as if it were changing resolutions for no apparent reason. It happens at random in windows. Can anyone help with me this. Thanks. My system specs:

P4 northwood 2.26Ghz
MSI 645 ultra
Gainward Geforce 3 ti200
WinXP pro w/ service pack 1
sis agp drivers 1.12

Maybe there's an incompatibility between the Rivatuner and the 40.72s built-in refresh fix?
