unfortunately i don't think there's anything that's going to be stopping these mussels, i thought it might have been the zebra mussels, but these are on a whole new level it seems even faster breeding than zebra's...can the get rid of the algae blooms?

i thought it was about this when i clicked on it (still ongoing btw)

If the mussels can get rid of the junks humans dumped in the water, so much the better. At least that goes in the plus column.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I've long said that Mother Nature will eventually wipe out all traces of us, as if we'd never been here. I'm OK with that.

Fine to go explore these places, but don't touch anything, that's how I see it. I mean maybe take some small samples if it's for research purposes or musem purposes but that's it and everyone should be on same page about it being ok. Like at one point they actually took a chunk of the Titanic up, I think that's ok, but don't go there with huge harvesting machines to start chopping it up and disturbing it either.

Well, for that matter, eventually the entire planet will be engulfed by the Sun, so...I guess nothing really matters in the long run?
As for the ships, can't we just replace them by sinking some new ones?
