Same, I've preordered a XIM for it.

I've gotten quite good at playing FPS with a controller, to the point of usually being dominant in COD/BF matches, but I just can't enjoy the experience. I hate it almost as much as touchscreen gaming. But for other game types I quite like the pads.

Did everybody try all the classes? I only tried Warlock (like 90% of the userbase apparently) and Hunter. Didn't get around to trying the Titan

I didn't really like Titan, the special just isn't that great, just a big pound on the floor and doesn't have a big radius so you literally have to be swarmed around you to get the most use out of it.

That's my biggest gripe with the game, the special takes FOREVER to refresh even with how many guys you kill. Obviously I'm sure the further in the game you go the cool down is much less but it's really too long in my opinion.

I did lock to 8 and Titan to 7.

I liked the lock, a lot. The Titan was boring.

Here is the thing. We played the early early levels. I bet the Titan opens up after some more levels.

Yea the specials take forever to change up. I like the warloc and the Hunter is alright. Definately enjoy the throwing knife but the special for the Hunter sucks.

Yeah I also hope there are some usages for the weapon parts and such that you get in the Beta. At least so we have a little more understanding of the mechanics of the merchants.

The radius is fine, and when it upgrades the spread moves outward along the ground to electrify enemies.

Some armor upgrades reduce the cooldown time.

Here's the thing, don't forget like many people have that we only have one subclass to use and it's already selected for us. There will be more variety in the full game. Also, in the alpha the class stats aren't working correctly. Warlocks are supposed to recharge the shield much faster than the Hunter but it's barely a difference. The titan will have more armor so they can take more hits. I predict that there will be a lot of people playing the full game wondering why their warlocks are so squishy and Titans can stand up to more hits. The game we are playing now won't be exactly the same when we get the full game and all the stats are working. Weapon sight upgrades don't work. Every sight has the same stats on the weapon. When they clearly state that some have better recoil control or give a better range. That isn't currently active in this build. It appears to show you the stats when you pick one but it you watch closely, the white bar never moves up or down on any of the stats.

Yea I wish the alpha was not ending today. I won't get a chance to play anymore today either. Going to enjoy more of it with the beta. I can only imagine the retail version will be even bigger. Will there be more than 3 planets to go to ?

We don't know how much of it will be in the first release as they likely have plans for story expansions in the future. They have confirmed that you will travel to Mercury, Mars, Earth Moon, Europa(Jupiter moon), Venus, Saturn, Jupiter.

There is a special event at 6:00PST. Bungie said there will be some epic last big event to commemorate the end of the alpha which runs through midnight PST. I'll be checking it out if I can.

Oh thanks for the heads up. Guess the NBA Finals is going on hold for a second then.

Yea I dunno what it does I went to the tower and no one was there. Going in to old Russia now to see if anything changed.

Looks like there was no actual event....the code apparently allowed anyone to play for the final few hours from what people have been saying.

Yeah I realized that haha. Played some more and turned it off for the night. Going to wait for the beta in July now. Going to be fun for sure.
