Whoooooosh.

Nope the woosh was over your head. I knew you were implying the statements from the Obama Adminstration walking us off the precipice of the "War on terror"

This overly simplified world view takes history and calls it a myth. Terrorism as it is today has existed for over two thousand years or longer. To think that its a war that needs to be fought like WW2 with tanks and bombers bombing cities ignores the lessons we should have learned. Hearts and minds............

Terrorism can be mitigated and rendered largely innefective but it takes a different kind of peacetime commitment. If you choose to believe all muslims are out to get you and the world is a dangerous place that can only be saved by american freedom than you are living inside your own delusional fantasy...

If you choose to remain ignorant of the world around you so be it. It is a free country. Just dont expect others to laugh at your simple nature....

Ever heard of simple jack? hes all the race in Laos...

So then why distinguish between "combat troops" and other troops, like the Obama administration did?

I am not the one that made a big deal that a few brigades left the country in order to meet an artificial deadline/campaign promise.

These are not cooks and latrine cleaners that are being sent out to fight. These are front-line troops that are trained to use offensive weapons. This bullshit "last combat troops leave Iraq" is worse than Mission Accomplished.
Are US troops performing their own combat patrols under US command now or not?

Stuff like this is to be expected so long as american troops remain as trainers and advisors to the Iraqis. The right of self-defense is absolute, as it should be.

LOL sometimes you dazzle me with brilliance then baffle me with bullshit.

Take D cock from the throat.

http://mangafox.alargespace.com/ful...-of-us-combat-mission-in-iraq-august-31-2010/

Going forward, a transitional force of U.S. troops will remain in Iraq with a different mission: advising and assisting Iraq’s Security Forces, supporting Iraqi troops in targeted counter-terrorism missions, and protecting our civilians. Consistent with our agreement with the Iraqi government, all U.S. troops will leave by the end of next year. As our military draws down, our dedicated civilians — diplomats, aid workers, and advisors — are moving into the lead to support Iraq as it strengthens its government, resolves political disputes, resettles those displaced by war, and builds ties with the region and the world. That’s a message that Vice President Biden is delivering to the Iraqi people through his visit there today.
Try to keep up OP.

The difference is the mission. All us soldiers are combat trained from special forces to quarter master. The distinction is that it isn't 1st ID, or the 101st, or 3rd Brigade, or 4th ID, etc...not a combat brigade. Probably a small infantry unit, military intel/psyops, spec ops, and their support units helping the Iraqi military transition to their role in supporting themselves ....finally.

Almost right back to where they were before the invasion.

Thinking that combat is over in Iraq is about as stupid thinking WMDs were going to be found back in 2003.
