Desperate: Nero 5.5.7.2 and Power User in Win2K

Folks,

I just installed a CDRW in my lab's computer running Win2K, and then installed Nero. But the problem is, I can not get access to my CDRW in my own account, a Power User account. I did some research and found out that during the installation (of course as the Administrator, I asked the lady to log in for me), a window is supposed to show up asking for which use will be granted the right to use Nero and the CDRW, and there is a Security part in Files -> Preferences in which this kind of right can we assigned to a certain user. But NEITHER of them showed up!

What went wrong? I can not ask her to log in for me whenever I want to burn sth., nor can I get the password for the Administrator. So please help
