I keep getting DPC latency spikes up to 200k ns. I keep getting audio/video stutters as well. I tried disabling dvd drives, uninstalling asmedia sata drivers, updating bios, different graphics card. stutters in game as well as on desktop. I notice it when I'm watching videos online or playing video games. A lot fo the times I will also see a latency spike, but won't get audio/video stutter, at least it wasn't noticeable.

Here's results from latencymon and dpc latency checker:

CONCLUSION
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Your system appears to be having trouble handling real-time audio and other tasks. You are likely to experience buffer underruns appearing as drop outs, clicks or pops. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:17:08 (h:mm:ss) on all processors in the system.

okay... I figured it's something wrong with my networking. Disabled my network adapter. Stared at dpc latency screen and enabled the network adapter. the kernel timer latency spiked up to red.

anyone know of any fixes for this?????????

don't know of any fixes, but intel network cards can be found for pretty cheap.

edit: try either updating or rolling back the ethernet driver

edit2: have you tried disabling other devices as well? audio devices?

yes. latency mon shows the activity mostly coming from my network.
using ethernet cord gives ndis.sys as the highest execution time.
using usb wireless gives usbport.sys as highest execution time. not sure what the reasoning is for this.

Lets figure out what device is causing this. Unplug all USB that you don't need. Keep mouse and keyboard only and see if it stutters and we take it from there. gl

well it's the network usb device. It wasn't being caused by usb originally. Like I said,

using ethernet cord gives ndis.sys as the highest execution time.
using usb wireless gives usbport.sys as highest execution time. not sure what the reasoning is for this.
