hey guys
im runing a64 3000+ w/ gb of mushkin ram
on a nforce 3 250gb qBic eq3801 sff system
ive changed hd's twice already

so my problem is i can't install autochk.exe when i install windows xp
and i keep getting these machine check exceptions
i dont overclock. like when i go to use my cd drive or open up my computer
i get the blue screen w/ these errors...
machine-check-exception
w/ a bunch of normal
0x0000009C (0x00000004, 0x00000000, 0xb2000000, 0x00020151)
like that but the 0x00000000 is something like 0x0b29400d or something of that sort
now that ive tried to get by it by disabliing my cpu internal cahce and the external cahce
i cant even get to the computer to start up it just keep rebooting
can anyone please help!!! hehe

i tried backing up my hd on my friends computer
and so i thought it was that...but i dont think so anymore

first, reset bios - any changes, ANY changes will/should be reset.
That should get the bios to reset to its original settings - may not be the best, but at least you might be able to boot.

unplug computer.
take out battery.
Move CLRCMOS jumper [see manual - will be near to the battery] to reset cmos.

Leave for 20 minutes.

Move CLRCMOS jumper back to where it was.
Insert battery
plug in.

let us know what happens then

you need to be a little more specific on your equipment setup and the history of the problem to get really useful help, but here's a couple of guesses, based on what I can glean from your concise post;

sff case - overheating?
sff case - puny power supply?

either or both of the above could possibly be the cause of the BSOD
