My desktop/workstation (~6months old) has been working fine till last night. This morning, however I found that it had turned itself off. When I try to boot up again it doesn't boot. Fans spin, leds work, but there is no signal to monitor. Furthermore inside my case, the "diag.cpu" led on the mobo is illuminated. Does this mean my cpu is dead? Do cpus just die? (I never Overclock, but system runs 24/7 on 30-80% load, temps are always less than 60C) Here is my system rundown. I tried clearing CMOS (by altering jumper), did not work.
Intel Xeon E3 1275V2
Mobo: Asus P8C WS
Memory: 16gb 4x4gb Kingston DDR3 1600 ECC
PSU: Seasonic X620
HDD: 1TB Seagate
Cooler: Corsair H60
How should I go about diagnosing the problem? My mobo apparently has a 3 year warranty, and the seasonic psu has a 5 year warranty, which is the only thing going for me.
Thanks so much for the help.
