Desktop stretching issue

Hi everyone,

I am running WinXP with a GeForce Ti4200 64MB (w/ Forceware 56.72) on an LCD that has 1280x1024 native resolution. Recently I noticed that when I stretch 1024x768 wallpapers to 1280x1024 in display properties, the image is heavily pixelated. Images used to stretch properly and I first noticed this problem before I updated to 56.72, which I thought might fix it. It's a minor annoyance and any help would be appreciated.
