Desktop sticky notes

What programs do you guys use to remind yourselves of things on your computer? I make my virtual sticky notes by naming .txt files on my desktop with the reminder I need. Cheap but effective.

Do you know of a great program that does a good job/low on ram/etc?

My friend had a program from post-it that she told me she downloaded for free. Didn't ask from where, though I would imagine that the post-it website might have it somewhere...

I have an ongoing e-mail to myself (Gmail) with what I need to do that day in the subject, and info for future days in the body. If I need to add things to my list, I just reply. At the end of the day, I e-mail myself a new e-mail with the next day's stuff in the subject and incorporate the replies into the main body. If that makes sense. It works pretty well for me.

I just realized I never use most of Outlook 2003s features, even though it's always there in my system tray.

(Writes Note to himself in a text file and puts it on desktop: Use Outlook's Calendar)
