Desktop software that you wish used multi threads?

Is there any desktop software that today you spend time waiting on that you really wish used multithreading or GPU resources that isn't a game?
 
Excel would be nice, I know there is a free office version that uses OpenCL but it's not accurate enough.
 
I wish UnRAR could use multiple cores (like RAR), but reportedly it doesn't lend itself to parallelization, so even if it were multi-core aware it would only use one core.

and support for 8 cores at the very least. and support for more cores than that like maybe 20 would work more

this is more of a software section than hardware right?
