I'd typically alter the graphics memory allocation setting in the BIOS, but the machine in question has a Compaq BIOS without helpful options like this, and a stonking 400MB RAM is allocated to graphics. Is there a way to alter this allocation in software (like through the Catalyst Control Centre)?

I don't think Compaq was around when Llano showed up. Are you sure this is a Llano APU and not some other AMD integrated graphics chip? Either way, I'm not sure and am curious if it can be done. I have a Toshiba with a Llano chip and would like to see what it is set at for graphics memory.

HP Compaq releases some computers here under the Compaq name, most under the HP name. Definitely Llano. Graphics chipset is something like 6350G.

Do you have to "donate" system ram to an APU or can it share the ram with the rest of the system?
