The Compaq PC began to freeze a few days ago. It would hang on reboot, at a faint XP logo screen. I would reboot, run Error Checking. Now the PC green light on the front panel will not lite up. The yellow light still does. The fan runs, CPU runs and fan, the Hardrives spin, lights to the CD also flicker on booting.

Is this a bad batterry???
If so...buy it where?? Radio Shack?

I cannot get to any desktop now :-(

Any ideas?? PC is about 3 years old, it stays on 24/7

Thanks all

dunno... open that thing up and see what kind you have in there, or check the compaq website... I'm not too familiar w/ replacing parts on proprietary comps
