Does desktop monitor with auto brightness exist?

I have some major problems in my computers current location with ambient sun light. I recently got the HTC one phone where this feature seems to work quite well, so it made me wonder if it's availible in desktop monitors? I have not been succesful in finding anything though.

Getting really really tired of adjusting my brightness settings at least twice a day

Ambient light sensors are separate from the monitor, so the beauty is you can just buy the sensor and add that functionality to any existing computer setup. Laptops are coming with them too, so if you buy a laptop you should look whether it has the ambient light sensor.

Search on ebay, I've heard you probably find the ambient light sensor for PC for like $10, though I haven't checked myself.

For another approach, this guy is using a webcam as the ambient light sensor:

However, I think getting a dedicated sensor makes more sense because apparently windows 7 and above is designed already to work with them.

i got a cheap huey pantone pro for my home monitors. there's an ambient sensor on the outside that will adjust the monitor brightness. they may be discontinued as this was almost 10 years ago.
