Desktop Icons

Sorry if this doesn't belong here but I posted it in Technical Support but I don't think that forums gets enough traffic for me to find my answer so here it goes again... Does anyone know why windows randomly changes my desktop icons back to the default windows xp ones after a little while of using a theme and its icons? Sometimes it leaves them for an hour or maybe a day before making them default again.
