Desktop icons refreshing problem in win98se

I have this really annoying problem when running some programs (mainly explorer) and going back to desktop some of my icons are blank. How can I refresh them without actually restarting?

Other than upgrading to a proper OS, I would suggest downloading TweakUI
There is an option in there (under the repair tab) that will rebuild the icons without a reboot.
