desktop icons not in alphabetical order

My desktop icons aren't completely in alphabetical order. like i have one column from a-z and the next column will be a-z again.

i know why its doing that, its based on the drive letter that the program is installed on.

is there a way to change this though so every icon is in one a-z list?
