Desktop Icons in Dissaray

Just purchased a new 34"UW and I notice that at times when I restart/wake my computer up it will completely dismantle the position of my desktop icons.

What I think is happening... I play certain games that support 21:9 and certain games that don't and I believe when I play 21:9 it adjusts the resolution and then throws my desktop into array.

Anyways TL;dr icons are being thrown into disarray and I can't stand it. Is there a way to save the positions or "lock them" I'm using Win10.

Your resolution idea is valid if the icons show the same disarray when exiting said games (not just on wake-up). If it's just wake up, it's something else. You may want a newer display driver, or you may want a driver for your monitor. You also may want see if rebuilding the icon cache helps. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/rebuild-the-icon-cache-windows
