desktop communicating with cellular phone

what i try to do is installing an irda port to my desktop so i can communicate with my cell phone via infrared, and the mobo has got a connector for irda port but says nothing of how i coud get the needed transceiver.
i posted a similar message some days ago but nobody answered, so i have to try it again.
in the mean time i have been able to find some links of places where to go where they explain how to build such device (quite simple, as it seems) but my soldering abilities are under par, so i would prefer to find it already done. does anybody know whrere to bu it?

No idea where to buy it, but I would contact both Abit and the place where you bought you board. Be prepared to pay $$ thoug.

If you can't find anything: the FIR thingy (C4103A) HP pack with their printers can be converted. Still some so tinkering involved though, but since nobody uses it on the printers, they should be readily available 😉.

Edit: do NOT plug it in somewhere just to try. The C4103A has a mini DIN plug but it's not compatible with anything on typical mobos, so you might fry something.
