I am the SA at my work where I have about 24 different computer systems that are accessible via a KVM switch from any one of 26 different workstations. I would like to be able to have the desktop screen. At least 8 of the computers are setup to be able to use any of 12 hard drives. I would like to be able to have a script run when the computer starts up that will change the desktop background to a background that I can specify. This is so a user can identify which computer they are currently accessing without having to go through much trouble. Do you guys have any ideas on how to setup such a script?
I figure being able to identify the computer using the MAC address of its Ethernet port would be the easiest way to go about this.
If
MAC = 11-11-11-11-11-11
Then set desktop to Computer#1.jpg

MAC = 22-22-22-22-22-22
Then set desktop to Computer#2.jpg
