I can't watch this at work, unfortunately. If I've not mistaken, the Desire HD uses an updated Snapdragon, 45nm/Adeno 205 vs the 65nm/Adeno200 in the Evo 4G? I know it also has a smaller battery and no 4G radio.

Since its an international device, aimed at Europe and Asia, I shall also assume its a GSM device, no CDMA to play on Sprint/Verizon here in the states?

It only has like a 1230mAh battery though. I doubt it will have very good battery life even with the die shrink.

They are claiming longer battery life than the Evo, for what thats worth. Have to research it some more, but are the batteries between the Evo and Desire HD interchangeable?

Wikipedia says T Mobile uses 1900Mhz for its 2G and 1700/2100Mhz for its 3G.

2G: 850/900/1800/1900 Mhz (Quad-band), 3G: 900/2100 (Dual-band)

So, looks it'd work on T Mobile's network here in the states.

Not AT&T 3G, though. Will have to wait for a Canadian model for that.

More like a die shrunk Evo 4G, without the 4G and double the GPU performance.

ATT uses mostly 850mhz/1900mhz but moving mostly to 850mhz for 3G.
T-Mobile 3G is 1700mhz.
Pretty much all the phones made for T-mobile and ATT always list 2100mhz as one of the band for 3G.

I think the Desire HD is the same size as the HD2 hence the same size capacity battery.

Shame about the frequencies though. Wish there was some way to end exclusivity contracts entirely.

It does look more like the EVO than the HD2 but we still haven't seen the specs to see the actual thinness of the device.
I can't see any reason why they wouldn't have the 1500mah as the EVO if its the same thickness.
Call me crazy but I'm turned off by the thickness of the EVO.
Sure its only 13mm vs 11mm for the HD2 but it deinately feels different in your hands.
