Design SmartHome for new place

Hey all,

help me design a basic HA system/Alarm.

I am purchasing a home that is still being built. The developer is Putting in a Lutron dimmer system and some smart blinds not sure what kind.

I have an SmartThings V2 at home and some Z-wave dimmers + Nest at my current place.

What I would like at the new home: Remote control Lights Smart HVAC (It will be a dual zone) Video Cameras outside SmartLock

What is the best way to bring all this together? I am thinking about asking for some network drops outside so I can install IP cams. But they dont seem to be friendly with home HA systems.

My dream would be some kind of panel at the front that will also allow me to control the system/alarm/see video.

any suggestions on good products that can give me what I want?

Thanks!

thats the system i have at home. It will do everything you are asking for it to do.

Uses Zwave for the most part unless you hardware devices like cameras.

One thing to keep in mind with your HVAC. Modern systems require the uses of their own controller to be able to use all the engergy saving stuff. My modulating furnace and vairable speed heat pump wont modulate or vary if i dont use the Bryant wall control. It has its own app though, and you can program it to do about anything, but it does not integrate with my honeywell system.

FWIW, i would ask a pro to install that security gear. For what they charged for the install, it was WELL worth the cost.

That looks neat, is that unit the Z-wave hub? Or Does it require additional hardware?
Do you use basic POE IP cameras going to a NVR?

My camers are wired into a honeywell box in the basement that integrates with the tuxedo touch.

There are 3 panels downstairs with various units in it. That panel is just a slick interface.
