Deserve a neutral HEAT?

Ok, so i had a deal finalized (both parties agreed) on a trade of 1 item, for a trade of 2 items + cash. he was supposed to ship today, and then when i receive the item, i would send mine. he PM's me this afternoon, stating that he found one of the items i offered for sale, and was just going to buy it. i'm disturbed because one of the items was a DVD-Rom, which i then purchased a replacement last nite thinking that i would be rid of the one i already had.

so, the quesion is, does he deserve a negative/neutral heatware evaluation? Is it allowed? Wasn't this a complete deal? He had all my information, including my phone number & we had both agreed on shipping days & that it was a done deal.

Your opinions if you please sirs

Nothing exchanged hands so therefore you didn't have a deal to begin with. Just don't deal with him again.

I wouldn't leave anything, but that's just me. I see deals fall through all the time. If someone left a neg or a neutral everytime a deal fell through, we would all have them......

Kind of an odd position. The deal may have been agreed on, but no transaction took place. More like bad trading ethics in my opinion. Can't really rate him on heat if the deal did not occur. (assumption)

You haven't lost anything except time. Not worth the headaches of a negative eval. Just don't trade with him again.
