I think this was a shrewd move. Realized he had zero chance of topping Turmp, but didn't want to kill his chances in the future like Ted Cruz did after he licked Turmp's taint after Turmp shit on him and his wife. I can't see Cruz recovering nationally. My guess is DeSantis thinks he'll inherit the party after Turmp dies, so he's pretending to support him til that happens.

DeSantis I think believes he's Stalin to Turmp's Lenin. But really he'd be at best chubby Boy Kim to Sunglass Kim, a paler weaker form.

I think Cruz never had a shot nationally for the same reason DeSantis turned out to be doomed. Quite simply they have horrible personal affect.

I’m sort of amazed this didn’t become more widely known about DeSantis before this campaign as it’s not like Florida is a small state. Maybe he was very tightly managed in the FL race?

He's always been kept in a very isolated/protective bubble in previous runs. He was exposed having to put himself out there for this primary run. Combine that with his negative charisma and a message that revolved around just being "anti-woke" (which is hugely unpopular) and he's doomed.

Plus, he got publicly butt-fucked by a cartoon mouse.

Even the people that vote for him hate him. I live in Texas and have never met even a hardline conservative that liked the man. They are more of the 'What am I going to do, vote for a Democrat?' type. I have a theory that Texas conservatives vote for him as a joke. Like they hate big government so much that they decided the best way they can give the middle finger to the federal government is to send Cruz to Washington. It gets him out of Texas at least for a while.

The entire time I lived in Texas I saw a Cruz sticker on precisely one vehicle. I can't think of any time I heard something positive about him even from people who almost certainly vote straight ticket R.

I want her margin to be at least close so that Trump will go totally fucking insane on her. It would be very helpful.

-He needs to start slinging stolen election bullshit ASAP, just jog everyone's memory a bit...

Isn't DS between a rock and a hard place now? Becoming President would probably have helped him shake off the Disney farce / empowered him to try and take on Disney, but now he's back to FL only then surely he's still got the Disney situation looming over him?
