I just got another confirmation why I hate Fox News. Depending on the story I will scan the 3 major cable news networks. CNN and MSNBC spend 95% of their Prince story time doing tributes. BTW - I think was appropriate. Fox News ran with the story that when Prince's plane made an emergency landing he was administered Narcan who's primary purpose is to block the effects of opioid overdose. TMZ broke the story but it will not be confirmed until the autopsy.

Fox unlike the other two spent 95% of their Prince time making the claim he suffered from an overdose. They spent little or no time of tributes. Question is why. Some of that can be explained by this interview of David Bowie calling out MTV in their own house about their lack of airtime for black artists. Listen to Mark Goodman's response. Pay close attention to what he said about Prince. (around the 1:30 sec mark)

Note the "mid America is scared of Prince" To MTV's credit they released this interview after Bowie died and admitted, "we were fucked up then and we know it." We've changed

I submit Fox News still has this problem. They know their audience in "mid-America" has little tolerance for a black man getting this much admiration. They would do the minimum required to cover a big news story. But Fox got a bonus there is a piece of unconfirmed bad news and they did nothing but push that bad news as if it were confirmed, which it is not.

Their peeps will not tolerate long Prince tributes, which he deserves. However they will tolerate a story being pushed that Prince is a drug addict.

You're the one with the problem. Your obsession regarding Fox News is over the top and you should truly seek professional help for it. Obsessing over a news network? That's wacko stuff. You can barely make a post here without mentioning that fucking news network. What is wrong with you?

As an FYI, if your wacko brain can comprehend it. Last night we watched one show on Fox, that being The Five. Half of the segments, spread out throughout the show were about Prince. The show opened with their "A" block about Prince. Their lead-in music through out the broadcast was his.

There is no way they could have satisfied you with their coverage because you're not right in the head. A has-been entertainer dies and you spend your time watching coverage on a network you hate to further some fucked up need you have?

Get some damned help.

You obviously did not watch during prime time. I tuned in from 08:30-10. During that time watched the coverage from all 3 networks. Even if you want to assert I have an "obsession" I wonder why you would be ok with a so called news network passing off rumor as fact.

BTW - Skippy, TMZ broke their story at 6p Thurs night. The Five which starts at 5p didn't have that info yet.

This thread was started before noon yesterday...

Edit. I misread. Carry on.

I'm fully aware of that. The point, which sailed right over your head is that they devoted a lot of time to him reporting what they knew, when they knew it. The majority of the show was devoted to him. The news network you hate ran clips of him in concert, in an interview, related history and background about him, in general just fawned all over him. What a bunch of fucking racists - huh? This white guy and his wife watched the whole show. What's up with that?!

You would be unhappy regardless of their coverage because you're an unhappy person.
