Why do people keep reaching for a connection that just isn't there?

You know Giffords's office was vandalized after she voted for healthcare reform? So I guess that was just some nut too right, and not someone who believed the right's rhetoric that painted healthcare reform as a fascist communist Kenyan takeover?

I like how you cut off the bottom of the Palin map, that lists representatives to go with each crosshair, including Giffords.

The Democrat map has target marks on STATES, and the text says that STATES should be ripe targets.

Edit: Ah, it's not you who cut off the bottom, but Michelle Malkin. Hm. I wonder why she did that.

I didn't cut off the graphic...I used the 1st one I found showing the symbols she used.

Maps/symbols are commonly used by political parties to depict politcal strategy/targeting. You sir are so steeped in bullshit partisan minutia that some might conclude that you're mentally ill...do us all a favor...please seek help.

Who vandalized it? Why did they vandalize it? Where was Sarah? :D

You mean a Republican's office has never been vandalized, and we can't ever claim it was a left winger who did it?

Far leftys never go too far? Or do we just not report the incidents?

The far left didn't hate W? I could have sworn I lived through 8 years of vitiriol. Maybe I was dreaming?

This shit is hilarious. :D

That must be why Palin has taken that website down and has scrubbed her twitter feed of anything that could be construed as inciting violence.

Same goes with Giffords oponent in Arizona who held an event to shoot m16s to get on target to remove Gifford from office. The above used to be on his page now when you visit its just a blank space.

It's refreshing that there are a FEW conservatives are honest about the violent sociopaths that make up a significant number of the rightwing:

I'm a conservative, but find this kind of behavior absolutely reprehensible. I recently went to a backyard cookout with a few neighbors (this is an almost 100% 'Republican' area), and was shocked at: A) How fucking idiotic most of them were and B) How often I heard people talking about assassinating the POTUS and other 'liberals/commies'

Arkaign circa 2008/2009

Thank you Arkaign for your refreshing honesty. One of the better ATPN rightwingers. Also one of the most prescient.

In the interest of fairness...I'll ask you the same question. What does this mean to you and how to you think it relates to Loughner's actions? Please be specific.

yeah, i was so confused. I first turned to Fox news the other day when this story was breaking, as the other stations were off on something else.

All they were talking about was this guy (her opponent) and they showed some blog posts he made that suggested something more along the lines of meeting Gifford at her rally, on that day, with his assault rifles. And for people to join him.

it was really weird. I thought they were talking about this guy b/c he was the actual suspect. ....then they went on to start talking about the Laughton kid.

well, FNC was suggesting that he requested people show up at her rally and bring their guns. They showed his damn post, lol. I think it was a local ad, or something like that. Dingleberry even signed his name to it.

Does this somehow have something to do with Loughner's actions?

Simple, either these 2 feel or have knowledge that they somehow influenced the shooter (which I doubt, but until the investigation is over we won't know), or they recognize that by using these slogans they've put themselves in political danger. If they were smart they would have recognized both of these possibilities from the start and not put themselves in this position.

I don't know.

Do you think FNC was devoting nearly 10 minutes and no less then 4 talking heads discussing this Kelly guy and showing his posted messages as an attempt to suggest culpability in Loughner's actions?

you should take it up with FNC, I suppose. As I mentioned, I was thoroughly confused. I was completely green on the details and so I thought he was the actual suspect as they were showing his public requests to meet him, armed, at her rally (this was the very first thing I saw on this story).

Hmmm...interesting first theory...Palin and Kelly both knew they "somehow" influenced Loughner and removed all evidence hoping no one would notice their clear culpability.

The second theory is equally "interesting"...their political slogans incited Loughner.

You have a very good imagination....but perhaps you should consider other possibilities.

After this Palin's political future is over. It might even be a while before she's even invited to utter some nonsense over on Faux News.

if there's one thing Fox News viewers hate, it's pretty women who are villianized by the mainstream media.

::Sigh::

Half the people on this board are fucking retarded. Its not a stretch to think that someone in the GOP has been made aware by police or the FBI the shooter was influenced by suggestive political slogans so they're removing all traces to minimize the fallout.

My second suggestion had nothing to do with the shooter being influenced by slogans, just that said slogans put politicians in political jeopardy after a shooting. Its cool how you make shit up though.

Obviously they're worried about something or they wouldn't be taking them off the 'net right?

Lol...I hope so...but I doubt this kind bullshit will make one iota of difference. The Party of Intellectualism never ceases to amaze me.
