So if someone stays in a country for too long (longer than the allowed period) and get caught, do they put him/her on a plane to send me back for free?? That's the impression I get 😛
 
That's exactly why the guest worker program won't work. Millions have already overstayed their visas and without penalty. Inviting more under a new guest worker program will compound the problem exponentially.

One of the Aussie exchange students I went to college with overstayed his visa, got arrested, jailed and deported after he was picked up during a traffic stop. Never heard from him again.
