okey well im taking a poly sci class right now and unless denver can get congress to lift the Federal law on the degree's of marijuana, they can vote all the want because its not going happen. There are two types of laws in the US, Federal and State. If a STATE could randomly create there own law regardless of the Federal, then i would see a LOT of southern states still practicing segregation. and other crap. If colorado decides to ignore congress and go ahead and pass this law, the people of colorado will get a MAJOR cut in funding from the gov. and hence its going to be a really ****** place to live there. Anyhow, Since Federal Law made MJ illegal, unless we get more democrates in congress, i highly doubt they can do anything about it without congress' permission.
