Denuvo and BF1

Does Battlefield 1 use Denuvo? If so could this be why CPU Usage is at 100% while in a game ?


If it does I don't like the news of more games using it. I am not against developers protecting their games either though. Just without a performance hit.

Outside of the online activation requirements, there have been unconfirmed reports of SSD degradation and other performance problems caused by the DRM.

Personally I hate all such DRM, but more out of preservation than performance or piracy (look at the number of old games that can still be played in 2016 thanks to modders, but otherwise couldn't if their protection was locked down with "anti-tamper" and the original devs abandoned it). Applies more to SP than MP games, but hey there are Doom 1-2 server's around even today (and plenty of examples of abandoned server code being patched to "point" to something newer). As for CPU usage in BF1, sorry, I don't own the game and can't test it myself.

Thanks that is mainly what I wanted to know. It is ok that you don't have the game.
