dentist or doctor?

I got my wisdom teeth pulled a few months back and had got an infection then had a nice reaction to the penicillin. Anyways it feels like the infection is coming back. My gums are hurting and my jaws are very very sore. So do I go back to the doc that did my wisdom teeth, go to my dentist or to see my regular doc?

I doubt your regular doctor will know anything about your teeth. I would go back to the orthodontist that yanked them out in the first place.

Dentist. He can prescribe antibiotic for that if you need too.

thats what I am thinking too. The thing is it usually takes a long time to be able to get in to see him. I dont think I want to put this off at all. I dont want my gums to fall off or something.

You call him up and say the work he did has become infected. He will probably want to see you right away.

Yep. Most every dentist reserves time to see "emergencies" right away.
