dental discount plans?

Anyone have experience with dental discount plans? I currently don't have dental insurance so I was thinking about enrolling in one of those.

No, but.... Find the nearest dental teaching college.

Save loads of money.

They don't help much if at all. If search worked, "lisa needs braces" would turn up some useful information on them.

Some dentists give a small discount if you pay by check the day of your treatment.

Yeah, I just saw those. Guess I'll just go to one, it's just a small chip, maybe 1mm by 1mm but it's on the front tooth. Now the question is whether I should wait until tomorrow or find an emergency place tonight...
