thats a pretty sweet deal

Killster, not sure what you are asking about for multy zone but the X2000 only has 1 HDMI out so you are not gonna get more than 1 TV connected to it either. I can do multy zone audio which most people never use

At this price, it's a good buy. The advantages over an E400 are a 3rd warranty year, XT > MultiEQ, and I guess if you wanna say that being able to use banana plugs is an advantage.

But at $50 cheaper than the list price for a new E400, this is a very good deal.

How's the user interface on this? Last Denon I had was ridiculously poor.

This is usually what the refurbished AVR-2313ci (which this model replaced) sells for, so I'd say this is pretty hot.

It has the on screen GUI.

I had an AVR-1609 (no GUI) and upgraded to the E400 (GUI). Vast improvement. Pretty straightforward too. Setting up Audyssey was much easier.

I just received mine from Amazon but now I am thinking of returning it because I heard the new Tannoy Reveal and I want them in the small space this puppy was going in but it has no preouts :(. I can't decide but the new Tannoy's made me eargasm.

Yeah, the 1609 was the one I had as well. Was very happy when I got rid of it.

You can get an Emotiva UMC-1 (pre-only) used for cheap ($300 or less). You can get their UMC-200 new for $600 or used for less. I have the UMC-1 in another setup and it's served me well.

This Denon is a tempting upgrade over my current low-end Onkyo I'm using (but happy with). Sigh.

Question if anyone knows: is Huppins (sold by Huppins, shipped by Amazon) an authorized re-seller? Great price, but not sure if I want to get stuck with no warranty.

THX.

They are, they are listed as OneCall (or 1Call) from the online dealer locator list. OneCall == Huppins online store.

This price is at several sites online if needed. Great price. I bought one even though my current Denon is great. Got it for the network access. Anyone want a gently used but mint AVR-891? LOL

Ordered and arriving on Tuesday. My old AVR-1801 finally popped (actually sounded more like a small implosion).

This AVR is awesome! Setup and calibration were simple and it sounds fantastic! I've had an old 5.1 Yammy for a good long while (2003 I'd say) and the Fluance AV-HTB speakerset. I just got really tired of modulating volume with the huge dynamic range of movies and barely being able to hear anybody. The dynamic volume feature of this thing combined with an Acoustech PL-28II (I know, not a fair comparison) make voices pop like I've always wanted at lower volumes and the ability to go big and loud is great. The app works great with my phone and tablet, being able to play Pandora and Spotify without a computer is very handy. So happy with this thing! It does appear to need at least three inches on each side of it for proper ventilation which I don't have yet, she'll have to settle with ~2" and so runs a little warm but I'd venture mid 40's celsius just by touch at peak.

Thanks for the post! It does look like it is the same price elsewhere but the Prime shipping clinched it for me.
