Today was a lucky day for me.
First of all, I noticed that two $5 coupons Maple Leafs Food had sent me were valid only until December 31st. Then I opened my mail and found out the same company had just sent me another $3 coupon for Christmas. So I spent $14 at the supermarket on Maple Leafs products later this afternoon.
I went to the bank to pay my Bell and Mastercard bills. While going through the University of Ottawa campus, I spotted a quarter on the snowy ground. I bent over to pick it up and spotted two more.
In the Bell building, I went to mail a money order for an Ars Technica member who just released her second CD. Noticed a 6/49 kiosk, so I went to have my two old tickets checked ( I only buy one every 2-3 months). I then heard the music for the first time ever! I had just won $10. :shocked: Bought another ticket.
Stopped at the Rideau Centre shopping mall on the way back home to pick up my two preordered Mamma Mia! DVDs (one for me, one a gift for my niece Sophie - same name as the ingenue in the movie). :gift: They were supposed to be $36.99 but today were on sale at $18.99 and the manager allowed me to buy them at this price. I then saw also a CD of ABBA's best hits on sale at $6.99 and bought that too for my niece (she loves musicals).
Overall, an excellent day. Twas really nippy though. First time this winter I had my thighs tingling through my jeans.:laugh:
