I noticed that the number of members on the RC5 Team increased substantially in the last 4-5 weeks. If that's attributable to Dennil's work, then we owe him a salute of thanks, not complaint.

I don't really see how one can say a single PM is considered spam.
I received a message from Denis a few months back. He stated that this was a one time message and thanked me for my time. He has not "bothered" me since.
If I remember correctly he even apologized, in case I might already be cracking on another team or individually.
I haven't yet signed on to a team, but if I do Denis will definitely be on my short list of the teams to be considered.

i recieved one of those msgs from dennil a month or so ago. i had already thought about joining TA, but couldn't get a good enough understanding about what it was all about. after sending a few messages back and forth (he replies very fast, and is always willing to help) i was set to go. as a few more question came to mind i sent them to him, and they were answered very promptly. dennil is doing great work for TeamAnandtech, so no one should complain about his efforts to keep TA ahead of DPC

I didn't mind the PM Dennil sent me, but when I opened it and borg biomechanical tendrils shot out of my monitor and assimilated me, I was a little taken aback....

Actually I'm glad I was invited to join the TA cube and as soon as my PC is stable again I plan to join. (If they want my depressingly slow 300mhz! )

It's a permanent disability check from the provincial government. Big difference. Recruiting for Team Anandtech is not a job. More like a mission I gave myself. It's my way of giving back to the best site on the www. Inviting people to join us doesn't cost me a penny more than making neffing posts. It just means I post less.

Miniteams do not prey on each other and cannibalize Team AnandTech members. I do check sigs and profiles for signs of rc5 or SETI stats before sending an invitation to someone whose post caught my attention. I also don't send it to someone who posts a thread asking for help with their pc or their personal life. I also check in my not-so-little (8 1/2&quot; x 11&quot; ) black book to make sure I did not extend an invitation to that person before.Finally, I recruit for all Team AnandTech rc5, not just TA Cube.
