Deneb desktop CPUs starting this month?

I wonder what kind of pricing to expect. Seems like the AM2+ Denebs will have a very limited life cycle. Hopefully there will be something released that will make a good "bargin" replacement for a 6000+ X2.

Exactly...if power consumption is down and they can clock...I'll definitely pick one up.

this rings nice in my ears.... my pc just died so i'll really need them to have affordable prices so i can get a new setup lol...

Not so reliable,Ci7's release date and leaked reviews were known long before, and consider the expected release date are both the same, having no reviews and NDA out there while the launch is so close is a bit skeptical.Anyways even if they do pull it off early I wouldnt jump on the this am2+ deneb right away consider their history of the TLB issues not long ago,am3 one probably will come up with a bigger improvement while not having to risk of the stability issues.

How about iCore, or iPhenom? Or iSleven? Could get worse, marketing could break out the i!=i7 emergency marketing materials.

iCore sounds alright...but then Apple might break out the lawyers. 🙂

I read a review that they have been able to get them to 3.2ghz with little effort and air cooling alone....they didn't show one, but did talk about the rumors....

May be a choice since it seems the cheapest i7 will cost at least 284, but we know we will be gouged early by profiteering etailers....factor in expensive ddr3 boards for this...all likely to be 200+ level initially....then factor in expensive ddr3 and this seems like an expensive option that may not be such a leap for users who already have quads....

I think I will wait for some of the 45nm Penryns to come down and upgrade my old QX6700 to something capable to hit 3.6-3.8ghz over my 3.2ghz....I could keep everything I already have....

gamers may not think the i7 is much of an upgrade anyways...

$200+? I thought they were $300+ and some over $400 even.

Oh and if Deneb is ONLY able to clock to 3.2GHz on air then that's not good IMO. If they can do about 3.4-3.6GHz on air that would be much better. Now if they get to 3.2GHz on air using only about half the power of a Phenom at 3.2GHz then that'll still be good.

I'm sure I could get 3.2GHz out of this 9850 I have but my motherboard sucks...Gigabyte hasn't updated the BIOS in a long time...just one beta BIOS since the 1st one.
