I'm still thinking of going to Deneb for my next upgrade as i can keep my 4GB of DDR2 ram and just swap motherboard and cpu. ;)

Yeah, but they get to use the Polar Ice Cap for cooling! Not Fair!

But seriously, if true that is genuinely exciting. I would love to see AMD get back in the game.

LOL it took me a second to get that gibe at their cooling accessories :D. as for AMD getting back in the game i would be quite happy to see this happen. AMDs latest board roundup has a lot of nice features i would love to see in my new desktop that intel doesnt, but until the performance gap and the OC gap between the 2 closes considerably im going to go with intel still. also, will they be releasing deneb in a dual core variant? that would be quite interesting to see as a competitor to the E8x chips instead of their X4 phenoms lmao

I totally wish I could take my 780G board and pop my E8400 in it.

Yep, but for gaming Phenom is already just as fast as Core 2. I would actually love to see the power consumption come down considerably to compete with Core 2.

okk lets see 1.6V @ 4G vs a intel's core i7 @ 2.66 with fixed multipliers....

I have a question even with the fixed multiplier how much would we be able to overclock the core i7 920... The reason why i ask this is games genrally dont like more cores they like more speed and memory.. Deneb has memory and so does core i7 but i wanted to ask about raw speed per core...

OH BTW SEE THIS h**p://w*w.coolaler.com.tw/toppc/AMD45NM/4G.JPG ahahahahahahhaaaaaa

An i7 will overclock to 11.

Seriously, your asking about overclocking two cpu's that aren't even released yet.
