When I first heard of the landing I thought, "interesting use of taxpayer dollars" but that's about it. Both Ds and Rs spend our money for show in their PR game to appeal to their contributors, both current and future.

Why this story is still considered newsworthy is beyond me. Kinda wish politicos would stop picking bones. I guess it gives them something to do after they spend the nation's money.

This story is being pushed by the Dem. opinion makers. They realize (correctly) that the pictures of Bush on the Lincoln will be used as much as possible in the campaign. They are trying their damndest to discredit the way these pictures were obtained, associating the pictures with some supposedly huge waste of money in the hope that the Pres. won't use them.

Well ot won't work. However I don't think the Majhority of Voters, those who are Moderate, are going to be swayed one way or another. The Economy will be the most important issue this election..that and the fact that the Democrats don't seem to have a viable Candidate (luckily for Dubya)
