I thought I read something that the minorities will actually be the majority in a certain period of time so the republican party could be in trouble in the long run in border states.

Unless Christian conservatives can evangelize hispanics I think they will be the end of the Republican dominance. But it's going to be a while until then. The red staters sure look like they are growing, not declining.

Florida, AZ, NM, TX all red...all with very large Hispanic populations.

EDIT: Probably NV, too.

The GOP has won the Presidency, increased its membership in the Senate and Congress and this is the end of its dominance??
I agree politics come in cycles but your totally wrong

I wouldn't call that "overwhelming" by any stretch.

he said minorities, not latino specifically

Freakflag is correct, minorities have heavily voted for Kerry.

It just shows you that the republicans are perceived as White Rich Men by many people. It might be true.

The sh!t from Bush economic and foreign policies just hasn't hit the fan yet.
Iraq is not going anywhere.
Iran and NK aren't going anywhere but nuclear.
Baby boomer retirement is not going anywhere.
Screwed up medical system isn't going anywhere.
US wage uncompetiveness isn't going anywhere.
So the wall is still there, but we just haven't hit it yet.

Thanks for clarifying, raildogg. But even still, that difference is quite a lot in an election.

Don't worry about wage competitiveness... If our jobs get outsourced, GW's plan will give you a tax credit to your local community college.

I can't believe he thinks the only people who are losing their jobs overseas, are people lacking education. Goes to show how he is so completely out of touch with middle class America.

People are more concerned about gay people fvcking each other than themselves getting fvcked with unemployment, high medical costs, etc. So you gotta let them get more hungry when faith alone won't sustain them.

The rising medical costs and the perceived lack of corresponding insurance benefits will be greatly reduced by TORT REFORM, not by creating a socialist healthcare system that amounts to nothing more than another bureaucracy with all the burdens and limitations inherent there in.

How do you figure that Blue Cross/Blue Shield is a "socialist healthcare system".

I am a young adult and I vote Republican. So don't count the young out of the equation yet. As I age, I project I will even become more conservative.

Can't we thank Clinton for the current "screwed up" healthcare environment?
