They want our troops to come home. Well dont we all?
If they actually go ahead with it then what is going to happen to Iraq? I'll tell you what. It is going to turn int a place where the violence is 5x higher than it is now.
women raped constantly. Mass murders. It will be disaster.
of course on the plus side what goes on inside Iraq does not effect us at all once we are gone.
Not to blame the democrats for an illegal war started by republicians, but I think they need to realize that Bush Fd us all up and we have to stay with his mistake. We cant run from his mistake.
What goes on inside Iraq won't affect us if we leave? I beg to differ. If we leave, then the country will be thrown into chaos, limiting oil supplies resulting in higher prices and allowing Al Qaeda a safe haven to regroup and plan future attacks.
Al Qaeda already has multiple safe havens, most notably and disgustingly the Sudan.

The cells there continue to use Sudan as a training ground and playground, but the NeoCons at large totally ignore the Sudan for the most part. Hmm, no oil there.
As far as limited oil supplies from Iraq, that's already what has happened. It was explained in detail (with internal State Dept. documents!) in the book Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast. If the Iraqi output dropped to zero, which it basically already has, it would have scarcely any impact on already high prices. Read here in detail the various documents which show the Iraqi oil exports to be incredibly insignificant compared to Kuwait, Saudi, etc.

What you are hearing from the desperate Republicans is the final admission of oil being a priority to rationalize the Iraqi blunder, after the complete and total failings of :
*It's about WMDS
*It's about freeing the Iraqi people
*It's about fighting terrorists
So now ..
*It's about oil
Well, yes it is! But by sustaining chaos in the region, and by keeping production through the floor, the reserves of the oil & gas companies increase by untold billions of dollars.
Finally, it is widely admitted by the right, blood for oil.
