Democrats: Would you stand by Kerry if someone else (*cough* Hillary *cough*) entered the race?

Kerry is the Democrat's worse choice. The man has no vision, he's the most liberal Senator in Congress, and voting record is shameful, to say the least. Who the phuck would want to be led by the offspring of Herman Munster and Frankenstein? The man uses botox.

A lot of things can happen between now and the end of the convention, but the suggested scenario seems very unlikely...

And no, I would not favor Hillary's candidacy over Kerry's. Her persona is the only one in American politics that even approaches the divisiveness of the Bush Persona, and the need to oust GWB from the oval office outweighs all other considerations.

I'm only interested in fielding a candidate who can win, and, like it or not, Hillary isn't that candidate...

Kerry's mostly lying low at the moment, letting everybody else do most of the talking. He's been known to be very strong in the homestretch, however. And that's where it counts, at the finish line.

I'm not excited by Kerry at all so you have my attention, but it would really depend on who it was

Kerry is too liberal, too slippery. He needs to reconnect with his war activism days and get some of the moral certainty Bush has. Perhaps McCain wouldn't be so opposed to a more moderate Dem which would make a kick ass ticket IMO.

I don't care for Hillary, so she would not appeal to me over Kerry, but then again this vote for a Democrat is unusual for me. I may not be the demographic you seek.

Anyway, everyone is better than Bush IMO and Kerry is it, whether I care for him or not.

Exactly. Hillary is a Democrat and is not going to switch to being an independent just to run against Kerry.

Maybe the next neocon poll would be who we would choose if we had to choose between a badger and a racoon for president. Or maybe we could ask who you would vote for if Ronald Reagan was cured and ran against Bush. It's not going to happen.

If Hillary were the candidate, I wouldn't vote for any Presidential candidate, except, maybe, er, remote maybe, Nader.

Yes, I long for Dean's primal scream. He is a straight talker who makes sense in the mold of John McCain, Harry Truman, Bob Dole.

You guys are hilarious. Whasamatter, you don't like women? ;)
I would vote for her over Bush without a moments hesitation. She is far smarter, able to string actual sentences together and would never have started a phony war.

This is just wrong. You shouldn't stand by any candidate if another comes along who's platform more closely represents your beliefs. I'm sure the Republicans would agree. ;)

I don't particularly like Hilary...but I'd vote for her over Bush. I'd vote for a turnip instead of Bush though.

Bottom line: We need the candidate that has the best possible chance of beating Bush. Hillary has no chance in hell, so I would still support Kerry. However, if by some miracle of God the two-term limit was eradicated, and Bill Clinton ran again, I would give him my vote in a heartbeat.
