Democrats vs. Republicans.

can someone tell me a clear cut of the views of both parties? I'm a bit confused on what they stand for because so many people have different versions.

Kind of hard to give a delineated view as there are factions within each party. There are liberal Republicans and there are conservative Democrats. And then there are the idiots in the current administration.

Yeah but does anybody in their right miond actually believe that a Kerry Administration is going to be head and shoulders better than the DUb's?

The best reason I can see for voting for Kerry is it will enable someone like McCain to gain the Whitehouse in 2008. On the other hand 4 more years of the Dub might ensure the Diesal Bitch Hillary access to the White House (Shudder!!)

Wheatmaster: there is in THEORY a fundamental difference between the democrat and republican parties. In reality however, there is very little difference. Both parties consist of collectivists. The Republicans want your money for social security and defense, the Democrats want your money for social welfare.

Democrats are supporters of welfare, they wan't everybody to be happy and care about others than them.

Actually, you're probably right. Perhaps I should have said ALL Conservatives are Republicans, ALL Liberals are Democrats (or worse), and Moderates flip-flop between the two.

Conservatives don't trust their government to run a public school down the street but somehow believe federal bureaucrats can transform an entire nation in the alien culture of the Middle East. Democrats don't trust the governemnt to treat bad people nice and believe if you only spent more money in public schools all our problems would go away. Thier both idealists and cost us money.
