Wow, just saw a poll of African American voters and their favorability. 68% were favorable of Biden. Next highest was Sanders at 57%, Harris was 3rd at 40%. Ouch. Beto was actually really low in the mid 20%.

Wonder why Beto is so low?

Compare her to Harris who wields her words with the warmth and precision of a surgeons scalpel.

Perhaps these gems can shed some light on that.

Man behind bars 2 years after judge orders release
Daniel Larsen was found 'actually innocent' of carrying a concealed knife, but the attorney general's appeal is keeping him in prison, claiming that he missed a key deadline.
reading through that article you'll see that it about he case laid out in the 2nd video. And Kamala Harris is the Attorney General who was worried more about the technicalities of the law rather than actual Justice.

Seeing as how a high percentage of people incarcerated are black. How do you think that black people feel about someone who will try to keep person in jail who was exonerated by a judge....
How should anyone feel about such a prosecutor? I can tell you I don't like it.

To quote the 2nd video

Kamala Harris is a cop
kamala Harris is a chameleion
Kamala Harris is not on your side

I'll vote for a Biden/Booker, Biden/Beto, or Booker/Beto ticket.

I voted for Warren because I like her wealth tax plan, and I don't see a better candidate in the poll yet.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Beto O’Rourke’s weeks of near-silence end on a massive stage when he sits down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The appearance Tuesday on “Oprah’s SuperSoul Conversations from Times Square” comes ahead of a possible presidential campaign and puts O’Rourke’s charisma to the test.

I don't think Warren has the political compass or killer instinct to navigate the waters at this level of the game. I think she's going to be sinking soon.

Need to add Amy Klobuchar to the list.
There was a lot of noise around her, but I didn't think she'd give up a sweetheart senate seat for it.

Honestly, of all of the candidates so far, I like her the most. She's a midwest native, much more relatable than Harris, a lot younger and without the baggage of Warren. And simply does not appear to have nearly as much stuff for Trump to trash her over. She'll poll much better than the others in the rust belt.

We need a moderate Democrat with cross aisle appeal for Dems to win in 2020. What is here isn't gonna get elected. Willie Brown (a Democrat) says Harris can't beat Trump. I don't see anyone on this list being able to beat him. I'm not saying this is a good thing. All I'm saying is that the Dems need to find a good candidate with wide appeal, carrying a great message, with great and reasonable policies. America will never be a socialist country and those with extreme socialist ideas are not going to win the hearts of enough of Americans to get elected.

Biden/Beto
Biden/Harris

Biden is the only one with the personality to compete with Trump.

Biden can setup the next Democratic POTUS after him.

We have lots of socialism in the US. If you eliminated socialism in the US you'd have a no shit heads getting chopped off French Revolution style event before you could blink.

All the available polling indicates the US is indeed up for more socialism.

All fair points, but she seems boring as hell. IDK if she can stand out.

I'm already tired of the dumb stories of her being a "tough boss."

Too bad about Al Franken, I think he would have been the perfect anti-Trump candidate.

Beto doing a good job holding a counter rally tonight. He can beat Trump, or you can nominate Bernie and lose again.

I think you need to think in terms of vanilla, but not cardboard. Vanilla is still a flavor and something people actually understand if not even enjoy. Cardboard is...well cardboard. Kerry, Gore, even Hillary were cardboard. Vanilla is an upgrade. Klobuchar's vanilla has a humble cuteness and something that will resonate well in the states that turned away from Hillary. She's got a gruffness and humor that appeals to the Biden voters. And since she's a Democrat she's got the fairly reliable blue firewall still backing her.

We need a moderate Democrat
We had that in 2016 how did that go... and yes she did try to appeal to "moderate' republicans... As Sen. Schumer said of her 2016 strategy....

“For every blue-collar Democrat we lose in western Pennsylvania, we will pick up two moderate Republicans in the suburbs in Philadelphia, and you can repeat that in Ohio and Illinois and Wisconsin.”
https://www.nationalreview.com/corn...ts-will-lose-blue-collar-whites-gain-suburbs/

Um no. we need more leftward economic policies from the Democratic Party in 2020 that will generate the cross appeal to groups outside its base.

Biden/Klobuchar is a pretty decent ticket. I just need to see more of Biden. In the abbreviated interviews I've seen of him lately he just seemed...tired? He's not getting any younger, that's for certain.

Are you adding Andrew Yang to this list as well? He is obviously running. Sam with Julian Castro

By the way, Kinda likes Andrew on Joe Rogan. He is heavily advocating for UBI.

Yeah, I could see Amy as a strong VP candidate. Hard working, Midwest, knows DC, not too flashy or controversial to steal the show. There has to be a woman on the ticket somewhere.

I was up on Biden earlier, but as time goes on I've been moving away. Too many good newer candidates and he comes with lots of baggage. He's also never been able to really crack a certain ceiling....

A top priority will be someone reasonable that can win. Can he make the case that's it's finally his time?
