Doesn't my state lawmakers have something better to do with their time than to come up with issues revolving around roosters?

Certainly there is better things they could be spending their time on. Here's a couple:

1) Better Roads
2) Education

When I lived in Oklahoma a few years ago, they were just talking about criminalizing cockfighting, which they have apparently done since.

According to NPR, there were more than 2,000 fighting cock farms in Oklahoma at the time! Apparently most of the cocks are shipped overseas to countries in Asia where cockfighting is legal.
