As you know the Liberals are asking anyone that see's someone driving a SUV to flip them the bird, Well in Indy a lady did, Well turns out the man driving the SUV was a police officer, It gets better, He pulled her over and ran a check on her and she had a out standing warrant, It gets better she had a bag of pot in her little car to, So to all you Libs that do this please leave your bag at home, It doesn't get any better than this

EVANSVILLE, Ind., March 16th, 2004, 12:05 p.m.) -- An Evansville woman allegedly made an obscene gesture toward the wrong vehicle -- one carrying the county sheriff.

The incident ended with both her and her husband in jail.

Police say 33-year-old Mary Ann Sweeney "flipped off" an SUV carrying Vanderburgh County Sheriff Brad Ellsworth on Monday.

The officers pulled Sweeney over and ran a routine check on her license plate. Both she and her husband, Jerry DeWayne Sweeney, were wanted on outstanding warrants, and the car was illegally registered.

What's with the "Democrat" and "liberal" labeling?

Well let's see if we can salvage some dignity from you...

Yes I remember seeing some links on here about flipping people off in an SUV, but the site I recall was specific to people driving Hummers and the site had no 'liberal' flavor whatsoever. Can you provide me with a link for a 'liberal' site that endorses this? I consider myself a liberal and I go by the definition of liberal as "Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded". So the behavior you describe, of being angry at what other people drive and trying to 'tell' you 'what to drive' is not characteristically liberal, as I don't give a s**t what you drive, just don't run me over. :)

From the AP wire:

A woman made an obscene gesture toward an SUV Monday - one carrying the county sheriff and chief deputy - and ended up in jail, police said.

Mary Ann Sweeney, 33, of Evansville was stopped behind a bus.

She pulled to the left to get around the bus at the same moment a Ford Explorer started to pass. The SUV braked to let her in, police said.

Sweeney then "flipped off" the Explorer's driver, Vanderburgh County Chief Deputy Eric Williams, he said. The passenger was Sheriff Brad Ellsworth.

The Explorer was marked as a sheriff's vehicle, but did not have a light bar on top, police said.

Ellsworth and Williams pulled Sweeney over to talk to her about her "road rage" and ran a check on her license plate.

They found that both she and her husband, Jerry DeWayne Sweeney, were wanted on outstanding civil warrants for $500 each, and that the car was illegally registered, police said.

Ellsworth said they found marijuana in the car and in the woman's purse and cigarette pack. Mary Ann Sweeney also was charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.

The couple was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail and later bonded out.

"I guess the moral of the story is, if you have warrants against you, you shouldn't flip off the police," Ellsworth said.

As far as moron liberals are concerned: Flip!

Really? From flipoffahummer.com:

NOTE: this site is a grassroots movement...please tell everyone you know who may be interested, and email left wing blogs-demanding that they post a link to it!

Naaah, nothing "liberal" there.

serves them right as I always thought this was the most pu$$y thing someone could do..some of those sites show pictures of people flipping off empty parked cars and what not, how spineless can one be?

With re. to the liberal/dem association...I could see many pairing this with the greens, and since the greens are more lib/dem then the parallel is easier to make vs the conservs who don't really care.

personally I feel if people want to drive an SUV let them pay with their wallet, but to flip them off is just spineless.

Well I have to hand it to you most liberals would never say they were a liberal, At least you have the balls to say I am a LIBERAL, Most libs say they are progressive or moderate or make up words that don't mean anything but man you come right out and say I AM A LIBERAL and you don't care what anyone say, I have to hand it to you, Well what got me looking was the post on here and the liberals if you remeber and I think you posted on it, Had Hummers and SUV's, Was only about a week ago do give a s++t what you drive, So that got me reading what other were saying on other post, So you don't care if someone drives a hummer either

Like I said I heard it on the radio so there would be no link but they knew just as I did when I heard it why they flipped a SUV driver off

Actually, no there isn't. I can just as easily create a web site to encourage people to flip-off mail couriers and then post "NOTE: this site is a grassroots movement...please tell everyone you know who may be interested, and email right wing blogs-demanding that they post a link to it!". Does that make me or the movement conservative?

Look at the issue at hand, you may label it as a 'green' movement, but to me it doesn't make sense to call it liberal. Unless you have some other explanation you'd like to share?

For all we know the two pot users are neo-Nazis or neocons (what's the difference?). They were probably stoned anyway. :)

Hummers are an abomination for many reasons, not the least of which is their gas guzzling. But why pay all that money for a car (?) that handles like a semi, rolls over at the first hint of trouble, is very slow, looks uglier than Karl Rove, and costs more than 5 times what it is worth? Talk about stupid investments! I'd say the Hummer owner is dumber than the pot heads because his stupidity is plainly obvious and continuing.

I am a liberal who drives an SUV as well (Honda Pilot). Alot of people are confused as to what liberal really means. I don't know where the misconception originates, and I don't know how 'liberal' became a bad word in the book of many people posting here. I guess they need some kind of label to classify a wide range of people to simplify the way they bash others.

I drive an SUV. Than I drive an SUV at work, most of the time. The thing is both of them LOVE Iraqi oil. Nothing better than driving in my SUV, drinking my Starbucks, than tossing it out the window into a pond. "Industrial Revolution Day: April 22, 2004" I can't wait.

depends on the town/state...

I know here in Mass it is very much against the law, as is swearing in public in some towns.

Flipping off a cop will at least get you arrested, if not heavily fined.

You don't count, the Pilot is a wannabe SUV, it is not the same as the giant V8 and V10 heavy monster 8-10 mpg guzzling Suburban Tanks.

I've got news for you, statism is not progress, statism is not reform, statism is not tolerance, statism is not broad minded.

This is the lamest "Liberal" bashing thread I have read so far. Are you really getting this desperate?
