I live in the craphole Corpus Christi, Tx. This city is filled with some of the most idiotic people you will ever meet in your life. Community decisions that are made are utterly stupid and the entire city staff it seems is completely corrupt.
17 Months ago Landrys corporation came in and made an offer along with some other corporations we invited for negotiations to build on our marina. They had a fairly nice offer and planned to do a lot such as build some more restaurants ( obviously ) a theme park and make it a more tourist friendly place. Well there are always 2 sides to everything people for and against and when voting time finally came the for people won. That SHOULD be the end of it, the community voted and one side won. That of course was not the end of the though.
The rich bitches and all the little whiny private enterprising losers whined and whined until finally the mayor ended negotiations with Landry's corporation and just cut them off. This is exactly what people should come to expect from this moronic city because this isnt the first time we have passed up a good thing. Schlitterbahn A very nice waterpark wanted to come and build one of their themeparks close by to here but noooooooo even though the community wanted it the local aristocracy and geriatrics complained it would be too noisy and they wouldnt be able to get there sleep and it would ruin the city. Now here we are doing it again.
This just pisses me off so much that people vote on it and then the mayor and all the rich peoples little lackies get there way even after losing there vote.
Landrys went through a lot of crap trying to appease the city and they get slapped in the face for it.
Now the city is already talking about raising taxes, selling bonds etc to raise money to fix our P.O.S. Marina, something landrys was going to do.

). Tons and Tons of wanna be gangsters. Teenage pregnancy capital of the nation (this county) for like 13 years running. There is less than nothing to do here, a lot of the city is run down and needs work but nothing gets done.
