That's pretty good, but not fantastic. I can certainly sympathize with the muffin thing before...I've had similar inane thoughts that cause me to break out laughing and look like a crazy person.

I like a lot of different stand up stuff, but usually the guys that have the psychopath routines get me going the best.

If they have a guitar I get pretty skeptical, if they have puppets or a ventriliquist (close enoguh) dummy then I just turn the TV because I know where that's going already and it isn't laugh town.

I've watched his show a few times and it can be funny but most of the time it's just boring. That depressed monotone thing isn't anything new.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

He can be quite funny, but his show got wearisome to watch.

at least it can be said that demetri martin and daniel tosh >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> sarah silverman and carlos mencia. so at least comedy central is moving in the right direction.

Sadly this is true.

Tosh.0 can be alright sometimes, if he gets the delivery down right.

Martin...you know I want to like him but he's really pretty bad. The only part of his first standup I found amusing was the first part with the big notepad...the rest, especially the songs, are not good at all.

Bill Burr and Louis C.K. are great though.

The Sarah Silverman Program suffered from the same thing that IMO Demetri Martin suffers from: neither have enough funnay for a series. There were a few Sarah Silverman episodes that had me rolling on the floor, but many others were totally unwatchable.

Tosh just seems like an idiot. I've tried to watch his show twice and it's just terrible.

I used to watch Comedy Central all the time, but lately I don't watch much other than South Park.

in small doses.
his material was stretched a bit thin for his tv show

this seems apt. I would be flipping channels and watch for about 3-5 minutes. I would chuckle, then realize that I don't want to stick around too much longer.

I've watched Tosh's show more than I like to admit. it makes me chuckle, but internet-based cultural humor grates on me. :\

I waaaaay prefer Sarah Silverman.
