I was busted by the five-o today on the 401 coming to work. Cop says I was doing 138, I say "Not a chance". He says "Too bad". I got lippy and he only dropped it to 134.

So now I have a nice ticket, and get dinged with 4 demerit points. I had another ticket with 4 demerit points 2 (maybe 3, I can't remember) years ago. Is this going to make my insurance go all crazy? How long do demerit points last in the eyes of the insurance company?

If I have to go through facility now I'm screwed.

Ohhhhh.....got points on your permanent record huh? Be afraid...be very afraid....you will never be able to insure another car, get a loan, buy tires at a discount price, join the Mounties, or know the love of a woman.

I believe it is 3 years for a ticket. 6 years for an accident.

OPP are tricky with their speed traps, east side of Toronto, just before Durham.
