has anyone used the 3 pin connector from a delta fan on a kk266 motherboard? I've been told that the fan draws too much power and will burn the motherboard. Any help? thanks
 
I second the connecting to the PS...it's generally unsafe to connect to your mobo.

If you're worried about not knowing if it dies on you...dont worry--you'll notice the sudden silence

the cpu fan. i just got a zalman h/s and a black label delta fan 7000rpm one.. i didnt realize that the adapter didnt come with it so im not sure if i really need it ornot. anyone got a delta running on a kk266 fan header?
