I have an Abit KT7 Raid board and just got in my Alpha 6035 with 38cfm delta fan. It has a 3 pin connector on it, however, I have heard many people say that it draws too much power to be placed on most motherboards. Do I need to get a 3 to 4 pin adapter to hook it up directly to the power supply or will the Abit board support it?

Ok, i have the same board and a FOP 38, same fan... the board can handle the fan, but i wouldn't attach too many things, if any at all, to the board (i.e. - other case fans) I have it on a 3 to 4 pin. You can try an attach other fans and see what happens... worst case scenerio is they just won't work due to brown outs. The board does have 4 fan connection headers so one would assume it can handle it, but i don't wanna be the one to find out.

I use the 3-pin on the mobo with no problems. The KT7 outputs 6W to the fan headers so running the Delta is no prob. I have heard of some people having probs with headers 1&2 where the RPM sensor causes the BIOS to have wierd problems, but put it on one of the others and it's cool.

I tried the Delta fan - way to loud! I got the Y&S fan and it performs identically and is much quieter. Running 800mhz at 950.
